Shelby releases 725hp Ford Mustang GT500 with Super Snake modifications
Sunday, September 27th, 2009When the 2010 GT500 Ford Mustang was release in January, it was just a matter of time before motorsports firm Shelby Automobiles toys with it. During the recent Mid America Ford car show in Oklahoma, Shelby unveiled the blue Mustang in blue equipped with the Super Snake 725hp package.
Shelby fixed a supercharged to the donated coupe and boosted the power of the DOHC V8 5.4L engine to 725hp. Their mechanics also tweaked the car with better radiator and intercooler, JBA exhaust system, and cold air intake.
The Ford tuner company also produced a tamer 630hp variant which uses Borla exhaust instead of the JBA.
Adjustable dampers were also installed to provide the ride with better handling. This came with stiffer springs, tougher anti-roll bar, and some tower brace for the front strut. The Super Snake deal also comes with customized 20-inch rims in combo with P-Zero Perelli rubbers.
